With more than 178 participating countries and over 2000 project submissions annually the Energy Globe Award is today's most prestigious environmental prize worldwide. It distinguishes projects regionally, nationally and globally that conserve resources such as energy or utilize renewable or emission-free sources. Award ceremonies are held all over the world. Prominent personalities as well as Energy Globe Ambassadors in 90 countries support the mission of Energy Globe. National ENERGY GLOBE Award Viet Nam 2017
Production of husk firewood, sawdust firewood and sawdust pellets, using the surplus byproducts to create products of high economic value and promote the commercialization of the gas gasification stove.
The use of energy has currently become a major issue in the world and an emerging issue in Vietnam. Fossil fuel sources (coal, oil, gas, etc.) in Vietnam are becoming exhausted. There are remaining issues of the dump, the waste output of agricultural and forestry products after harvest such as straw, husk, coconut husk, sawdust etc. this leads to environmental pollution. Emission from cooking accounts for 25 % of worldwide emissions causing the greenhouse effect.
Fuel from wood, husk, straw is prominent biomass energy source. If managed appropriate, biomass has many advantages and most important this resource is renewable and sustainable. When gasification stoves are combined with biomass there is way less environmental pollution.
The design of rice husk or sawdust firewood or gasifier stoves is revolutionary and provides a high efficiency of material and fuel savings. A stove weighs 2 kg and is smaller than other biomass gas stoves, but it has enough capacity to cook. Currently Lam An Company produced and traded 3000 tons of pressed firewood and distributed 4000 biomass gasification stoves to the market.
