With more than 187 participating countries and over 2000 project submissions annually the Energy Globe Award is today's most prestigious environmental prize worldwide. It distinguishes projects regionally, nationally and globally that conserve resources such as energy or utilize renewable or emission-free sources. Award ceremonies are held all over the world. Prominent personalities as well as Energy Globe Ambassadors in 90 countries support the mission of Energy Globe. The activities of Energy Globe attract worldwide media attention - international TV stations report each year with approximately 1,000 hours of broadcasting time. The aim of the Energy Globe is to raise global attention on sustainable, everywhere applicable environmental solutions and to motivate people to also become active in this area.

Monthly separate collection event Every first Saturday of month, a public event for separate collection is organized. During the event, every citizen of the city is able to bring recyclable materials collected from personal waste, separate the materials into fractions and the movement sends the fractions for individual recycling. On May 5, 2018, an event to collect recyclable materials was first held in the city of Vladivostok.
Today only 5-7% of waste is recycled in Russia. The average resident of Russiaannually produces about 500 kg of garbage, which is mostly sent to landfills or incineration. Landfill areain Russia occupies about 4 million hectares. That is equal to the area of Netherlands or Switzerland. Nowadays, with a huge variety of product packaging.
The development of a new waste management system requires an integrated approach as well as interaction of key actors: government, business and society. Movement has been working in all directions and trying to find common interests for all of them. Series of actions are being made by volunteers to organize regular event for separate collection of waste, to give people the opportunity to get involved in this practice, to help form a habit and to promote this method of waste management.
Movement works in all directions to draw the attention of the government to the problem, so that separate collection of waste becomes not a luxury for those who have the opportunity, or are aware of the problem, but part of the lifestyle of every citizen of the country. The majority of regular participants are trying to reduce the consumption of materials that are not recycled locally, and also take care of the correct disposal of not only household waste but also any other garbage that is generated in their homes
