Stargate’s Gigafactory project

Stargate was founded in 2021 with the goal of making green hydrogen affordable to help reduce carbon emissions in industries like steelmaking, fertilizers, and chemicals. The company focuses on improving the efficiency of the electrolysis process and lowering the capital costs of green hydrogen production. They achieve this by developing innovative ceramic-based catalyst materials, named Stardust, which ensure high efficiency and low cost without relying on rare Platinum Group materials. Today, Stargate operates with commercial Ni electrodes.
