With more than 182 participating countries and over 2000 project submissions annually the Energy Globe Award is today's most prestigious environmental prize worldwide. It distinguishes projects regionally, nationally and globally that conserve resources such as energy or utilize renewable or emission-free sources. Award ceremonies are held all over the world. Prominent personalities as well as Energy Globe Ambassadors in 90 countries support the mission of Energy Globe. The activities of Energy Globe attract worldwide media attention - international TV stations report each year with approximately 1,000 hours of broadcasting time. The aim of the Energy Globe is to raise global attention on sustainable, everywhere applicable environmental solutions and to motivate people to also become active in this area.

BiosPHera 2.0 project is an itinerant and self-sustaining housing unit with the aim to be people-oriented and to guarantee an independent energy production for living. The project integrates the Biophilic Design, an architectural design inspired to the biophilia with the aim to create a revitalizing environment in favour of the human health. BiosPhera is a house of 25 m2 that provides all the average services: LED illumination, induction cooking, appliances, heating and cooling, living and technical plant.
World Health Organization defines stress as a scourge of the humanity. According to this assertion, European Union calculates an annual loss of more than 20 billion euros in the working environments. Common environmental stressors include: noise, crowding, air quality, colours, tornadoes and other natural disasters, war and other manmade disasters and light. Among the main environmental stressors there is the air pollution that represents a constantly danger for the human health.
The solution is to build a BiosPHera 2.0 that offers an innovative and effective solution able to reduce environmental stressors that cause the lack of the housing comfort and the human psychophysical energy. The house is equipped with wearable technology design to monitor human health by monitoring the indoor and outdoor air quality.
BiosPHera 2.0 consists of the realization of an innovative housing unit that can be transported by road. It is energetically self-sustaining and totally built with X-LAM wood panels (certified by PEFC – Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes). Its innovation derives from the integration of many different scientific and cross disciplines able to improve the housing comfort even in extreme weather conditions and to optimize the efficiency of the mechanical ventilation and filtration systems through the monitoring of the indoor air quality. BiosPHera 2.0 is further certified by the most important energy-efficient quality labels such as Passivhaus, Minergie P and Casaclima Gold.
