Digitalization and data storage have become essential in our world. However, around 4% of the global energy demand is already needed for storing data in data centers. And the energy required for this purpose will multiply in just a few years. Swiss Vault Systems from Switzerland has taken on this serious problem and redesigned their data storage system. The data management systems have 14 times the storage density and achieve 10 times the energy efficiency of conventional systems. Their new systems also integrate circular economy, are very easy to use and have 4 times the service life of shelf systems, which corresponds to a service life of approx. 100 years.
