Norsepower is the first company in the world to convert one-hundred-year-old sailing principles into a commercially profitable, modern product. The use of wind energy also strongly reduces conventional emissions from ocean shipping. Norsepower Rotor Sails can already reduce emissions and thus fuel costs by up to 25%. In 2018, extensive tests were carried out with Rotor Sail on a crude oil freighter, which confirmed the efficiency of the project. The company is now installing its system on a large number of ships and is therefore contributing to a significant reduction of emissions.
