Elektronio is a clean tech company in Greece which offers a new way of urban transportation. They produce premium electric bicycles with a revolutionary design. Their first model is “Play”, which belongs to the category of tilting trikes with two front wheels tilting and steering simultaneously and independently. It has a comfortable seating position and adaptable storage spaces. These features make it an ideal commuting tool, an alternative way of delivery and an amusing tourist experience. In this way, Elektronio brings happiness, comfort and eco-friendly choices to people every day routes. Each vehicle is fully tailored to customers’ desires and needs. There is no stock of products and a limited handcrafted process of making. At the moment, they are developing an exciting new model for a private ambulance company, “Play with care”, which will allow the transfer of patients with chronic conditions in non-emergencies. They are also preparing the covered version of "Play” for next season, which will enable users to ride under all weather conditions. In their first year operating, they won several prizes and start up contests. Now they realize their first custom orders in “Elektronio Lab & Showroom”, in Thessaloniki. Their sales goal for the first year is 12 “Play”. Based on their calculations using the app "Bikes vs Cars", an average person will ride 40 km per day and 14,500 km per year. 12 customers will therefore make 174,000 km per year and could save 22,145 kg of CO2 emissions and 11,230 liters of oil equivalent! The more the company expands, the bigger will be the positive environmental impact.
Emissions and pollution resulting from the transportation sector are a huge burden on the environment. This year's National Winner of the Energy Globe Award in Greece produces premium electric bicycles belonging to the category of tilting trikes with two front wheels tilting and steering simultaneously and independently.
