With more than 178 participating countries and over 2000 project submissions annually the Energy Globe Award is today's most prestigious environmental prize worldwide. It distinguishes projects regionally, nationally and globally that conserve resources such as energy or utilize renewable or emission-free sources. Award ceremonies are held all over the world. Prominent personalities as well as Energy Globe Ambassadors in 90 countries support the mission of Energy Globe. The activities of Energy Globe attract worldwide media attention - international TV stations report each year with approximately 1,000 hours of broadcasting time. The aim of the Energy Globe is to raise global attention on sustainable, everywhere applicable environmental solutions and to motivate people to also become active in this area.

The technology developed in this project has been tested on soil polluted with oil products. 1.5 ha of land has been set aside for the experiment and is located about 150 m from the coast of the Caspian sea. The goal of this project is to clean and rehabilitate earlier contaminated land
Natural disintegration of harmful to health substances in the soil is a very slowly. This increases the risk of diseases, such as skin and blood cancer. Poor communities are the most affected by these polluted soils because they live in areas polluted while unemployed people spend most of their time wandering in such places . This situation calls for the immediate realization of an ecological refurbishment work in zones of contaminated lands top important". The solution is getting samples of soils for complete chemical analysis. Also, the evaluation of existing (biological, chemical, mechanical, etc.) technologies of cleaning and processing of contaminated lands are important. They also assess the economic potentials of residues extracted during cleaning. The working group gathered and analyzed the existing and introduced technologies on cleaning and rehabilitation of oil-contaminated lands. They also developed a technology that helps to clean land and water. In the future, the land may be used in agriculture and people who live in those areas won´t suffer health problems.
