Global Paint for Charity is a NGO that recycles paint to change lives and beautify the underserved communities around the world.
Many people cannot afford to paint their houses due to poverty or natural disasters. It is estimated that 80 % of the world´s school face a dreary reality or unpainted walls, and more than 70 million families have never had access to a painted house. If paint is not disposed in the right way it can lead to serious environmental problems.
Global Paint for Charity selects paint leftovers to distribute it to people who need it. It has mobilized over 200 companies across 25 states in the U.S. and 5 countries to donate their non-consumable paint for humble cause. This is an efficient way to get rid of unwanted or unsold products while taking advantage of a tax-deductible status.
As many as 5000 to 6000 gallons paint have been shipped at a time to 18 countries in West Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and war-torn areas of the Middle East and beyond. GPC believes it is their mission to keep these hazardous materials out of their landfills and make this valuable resource available in areas where paint is scarce.
Unbelievable how many houses are not painted! This meaningful use of unneeded or unwanted paint beautifies many places and contributes to people´s happiness. The tax-deductible status reinforces future investment positively and it motivates the donors to proceed with their generosity and thus guarantees the future of this project.
