Title: Solar power plant on 40,000 m² roof surface

This joint project of Freiding Erneuerbare Energien GmbH and Ecker-Eckhofen Energie GmbH involves the development and realization of a solar power plant on the roofs of a logistic center in the area of Ingolstadt (Germany). A reduction of internal losses in the photovoltaic generator field enabled the achievement of high output. The photovoltaic power plant is thus one of the largest and most efficient silicon-based solar power plants in all of Europe. The plant generates some 1.8 GWh of electric power from 40,000 m² of generator surface. This power plant, with its minimum life expectancy of 20 years, saves 1000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
