Title: Caring for the land
Landcare is an Australian voluntary community group movement, started in the 1980´s whose goal is to improve sustainable management of natural resources. It is a non- profit company that was originally established specifically to raise corporate sponsorship and awareness. Landcare works largely in rural areas, involving 40% of Australian farmers, who manage 60% of land and 70% of the nation's diverted water. Because of its great success, several sister organisations of the Landcare movement were formed, like Coastcare, Bushcare and Rivercare.
