Title: GSWB’s proven construction concept is committed to energy efficiency and sustainability
In the planning and construction of the apartment complex in Faistenau (province of Salzburg, Austria), which consists of three buildings with five apartments each, GSWB mbH, in proven tradition, vested in consistent energy-efficient and sustainable forms of construction. Large glass surfaces on the southwest side of the building and solar collectors on the roof (15-20% coverage of energy requirement) utilize active and passive solar energy. Humidity-regulated ventilation raises the quality of living. The energy supply for heating and hot water is provided by a shared central wood pellets furnace in combination with a micro-district heating network. An innovative, fully automatic efficiency control system for the biomass furnace enables error messages on suboptimal functioning of the unit. Heating stations in the apartments provide individual and particularly efficient setting of hot water and heating.
