Title: Switzerland’s first zero-energy office building
Marché International Support Office is leading the way in contemporary office design. Sustainable architecture and efficient use of energy have created an amiable work space while caring for the environment. The building’s modern, energy-saving architecture requires one tenth of the energy of a comparable conventional building; thus the roof-mounted photovoltaic system generates sufficient energy for heating, ventilation, hot water and electricity. The combination of insulation, daylight utilization, air quality and acoustics makes the building amenable to productive work. Nevertheless, costs did not exceed those of conventional building methods.
