Title: Wood waste for thermal conversion and pellet heating
The opportunities for energy improvement and energy efficiency projects in the wood waste industry are aplenty and the increasing costs of fuel makes it imperative that such initiatives are taken. The abundance of produced wood waste is difficult to dispose of, but it is an ideal resource for thermal energy plants and conversion into pellets. During its manufacturing process, Cita produces large amounts of wood waste (e.g., sawdust) that afford a source of cheap and clean energy. Currently about 40% savings in heating energy costs can be realized, which is about $15,000 per month. This triggered further improvements in the fine tuning of the operations.
