Title: Waste Grease to Biodiesel at Olympics 2008

This project focuses on conversion of waste grease to biodiesel. Waste grease is effectively collected and separated; thereby the pollution of ground water and odor emissions are avoided. Biodiesel obtained from waste grease is cost-effective and can significantly reduce pollutant emission from vehicles. The use of biodiesel is beneficial to the air quality in a metropolis. This project proposes a model of a circular economy in large developing countries like China and creates harmony between fast economy growth, high energy consumption and environment protection. This project shows how to gain energy from ordinary waste to achieve sustainable development. The Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 will highlight the use of biodiesel from waste grease.
