Title: Climate Change Challenge & Pledge

On 12 July 2007 UK 8020 launched two Global initiatives - Climate Change Challenge™ and Pledge4REG™ - that tackle climate change through a call to invent a domestic renewable energy generator (REG). This will help the most vulnerable in society by saving lives and dramatically reducing people’s fuel expenditures, thus tackling fuel poverty. With clear humanitarian objectives and a focus to engage ordinary people across the world by using incentives, the initiatives embrace inclusion of people of all ages, races and creeds. Supported by international pop superstar Madonna as Patron and Trevor Baylis OBE, the world famous inventor of the wind-up radio, the initiatives should reach ordinary people in every corner of the globe.
