Title: Tourist, thermal and aesthetic center in Tunisia integrates renewable energy, bioclimatic architecture and sustainability

The proposed project involves a spa ecohotel located in Beni Mtir, Tunisia. The tourist, thermal and aesthetic centre integrates and optimizes the five natural elements in an architectural bioclimatic concept. The reproducible project serves as a model of ecotourism for the area. The energy concept was developed along three axes: 1) Renewable energy: geothermal energy (hydrotherapy; heating and cooling) and solar energy (photovoltaic; solar heating & ventilation) 2) Bioclimatic architecture: orientation, natural skin, shading concept and thermal mass 3) Sustainable development: biological waste treatment and environmental activities (water, forest, mountains)
