Title: Together we can tackle climate change for Stoke (UK)

In September 2006 a survey of 300 people in Stoke-on-Trent (UK) found that 59% either did not know what climate change was or thought it was due to natural causes. Cool Stoke was set up to tell people about climate change and show that it is easy to do something about it. One of the project’s main delivery tools is the website www.coolstoke.co.uk, with the story of Liz Bennett appearing in weekly installments. The story tells of Liz’s life as she sets off on a New Year’s resolution to cut her carbon emissions and find love. The project encompasses four strands: the website, promotion activities, events, and the One Tonne Challenge
