Title: Combining rain water harvesting and solar water pasteurization
Fresh water is a renewable and therefore sustainable resource provided free by Nature. However, worldwide we are experiencing shortages in clean drinking water caused by the increased demand for drinking water without a concomitant increase of the local availability of potable water. By combining rain water harvesting and solar water pasteurization, a viable, renewable and sustainable source of potable water is now available to everyone. The main novelties of the project are a rain water diverter system that is fully automatic and relatively free of maintenance, and a solar water pasteurization system that is 100% powered by the free, renewable and sustainable energy of the Sun and can be scaled to individual needs and budgets.
