Title: SAW DUST AS FUEL FOR DOMESTIC USE IN COOKING
The aim of the project is to reduce the use of more fire wood for cooking and heating and to curtail the fast depletion of the forest reserve. Most of the rural communities in Ghana particularly depend on wood as fuel for cooking and heating due to abject poverty in these areas. The over reliance on wood has severe consequences on the forest reserves and actually leads to desertification. In recent times the local governments have been encouraging households on the use of liquefied petroleum gas for cooking and heating. Due to poverty in the Ghanaian rural communities this has not been successfully completed.
