Title: Environmental protection begins at school
The electronics school in Tettnang (southwest Germany) believes that environmental protection begins at school. With numerous events and great commitment on the part of teachers, students learn more about climate-friendly technologies and recognize how important environmental protection is. The school’s environmental activity began in 1996 with the construction of a solar power plant. Then the ideas of 500 students and 50 teachers were collected and evaluated. Within three years, 30% energy savings were realized at the school. In addition, in 2005 they had reduced CO2 emissions by 29% compared to 1995.
