Title: Sustainable Low-Energy Homes of the Future
The project will work with builders and related industries to create a showcase of innovative state-of-the-art low-energy homes of the future. These houses will be designed to various degrees of innovation and flexibility to allow the testing of different aspects of building construction, including layout and form, cladding materials, roof structures, foundations, glazing materials, thermal performance, building services systems, sustainable/renewable energy technologies, lighting systems, acoustics and water supply. Six homes are proposed and each of them has a different theme, including autonomous solar, carbon 60, hydrogen and low energy steel and timber modulars. The construction of the houses has been guaranteed industrial partners.
