Title: Biomass Combined Heat and Power in Poland
This project involves the construction of a biomass-fired Combine Heat and Power (CHP) plant in Plonsk (Poland) involving the complete reconstruction of existing city heating systems. The scope of modernization includes heat source (municipal heating plant), heat distribution network and heat exchangers. The project is divided into two stages. The first stage will construct the local CHP and the heat exchangers. A new heat distribution network will replace the old one. The second stage adapts the existing boiler to co-combustion of coal and biomass. The main objective of the biomass-fired CHP plant is to reduce greenhouse gases and other emissions by changing the fuel form from coal to wood chips.
