Title: Kamloops Center for Water Quality
The Kamloops Centre for Water Quality, located in Kamloops, British Columbia, is the largest membrane water treatment plant in operation in Canada, supplying treated water to the city’s 85,000 residents. The facility has gained an international profile for Kamloops as a center of excellence for water treatment and membrane filter technology. Additionally, the project contributes to the demonstration and commercialization of innovative technologies and practices as they apply to the development of advanced water treatment facilities in Canada. Compared to the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB) as part of the Industrial Building Incentive Programs, the Kamloops Centre is 43% more energy-efficient.
