Title: School Level Climate Change Awareness Program
Although Nepal’s contribution to global green house emission is only about 0.025%, the country is highly vulnerable to the impact of climate change due to fragile geological conditions. Therefore, with financial support from WWF-NP, Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) designed and implemented School Level Climate Change Awareness Program from October 2005 to July 2006. The primary objectives of this program were to create awareness among the students on the causes and effects of climate change in the context of Nepal and the whole world and to spread this awareness to the society. 1500 students directly benefited from the program and 272 students participated in various practical events.
