Title: Documentation & Demonstration Centre for Sustainable Energy Solutions for Urban Households
The Documentation & Demonstration Centre (DDC) Project has been implemented to demonstrate feasibility of energy consumption reduction and alternative sources for urban households. The Project is managed by the Centre of Environment, Technology & Development Malaysia (CETDEM) and is set to raise awareness on energy usage in middle-class urban households through various outreach activities such as exhibitions and public briefings. Interactive house visits and workshops with different stakeholders such as general public and professional groups are also undertaken. The overriding objective is to involve and mobilize an estimated 5 million households in the country in making an effort to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions from the Malaysian urban household sector.
