Title: Solar Cooking and International School Partnerships
In the garden of the Gaspoltshofen secondary school (Austria) the first Austrian solar kitchen was constructed at the Energy Island. The kitchen consists of seven solar cookers of different designs where solar radiation is captured in an area of 20 m² and bundled. The overall performance is above 10 kW. All kitchenware (refrigeration, mixer, illumination, coffee maker) is run by solar and wind energy which is produced at the Energy Island. The solar kitchen has already been exported to several partner schools in Malta, Greece, Italy, Madeira, Estonia and Africa (Mission school Kasoma at Lake Victoria and Tansi International College, Nigeria).
