Title: N2O Emission Reduction in Egypt
The project is the first N2O emission reduction project under the United Framework Convention on Climate Change and will reduce about 1,066,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year, equivalent to CO2 emissions of more than 500,000 (!) cars. For the purpose of N2O emission reduction, the technology provider has developed and patented a catalyst-based process (EnviNOx ® system) and a new UNFCCC methodology was developed by Carbon Projektentwicklung. The catalytic N2O destruction project is a sustainable project that contributes to the environmental (N2O and NOx emission reduction), economic and social benefits in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The proposed project significantly contributes to the reduction of GHG by implementation of innovative and patented latest state of the art N2O emission reduction technology.
