Title: Sixty Passive Solar Residences in Salzburg

The three residential houses built in Samer Mösl (moor area of the city of Salzburg) are currently the largest multi-floor passive solar residential facilities in wood construction in Austria. The longitudinally directed buildings with 60 housing units enable living in green space in the middle of the city. The angular concept of the flat plots creates an interesting approach through the buildings and connects the green areas. All flats are oriented in two directions and have a share of morning and evening sun. The passive solar house standard, the use of solar power, and the handicapped accessibility guarantee high living comfort. A high level of prefabrication enables fast and cost-effective construction.
