Title: Tourist Center Kolasin

The project concerns the construction of a central information and event building for tourism in the town of Kolasin (1100 m) in the Montenegrin mountain region of Bijelasica. In the context of the urban planning concept, the building is connected with the town square through a large terrace. An unbounded room concept further encompasses café, office, exhibition and event areas. A solar concept, where the sun shines into the building during winter and in summer the roof provides shade, supports the low energy construction (only 25 kWh/m²). Additionally, the use of local resources such as wood and natural stone was a priority in its ecological design.
