Title: Kish Recovery Boiler as Part of Iran's Plan for Energy Conservation
The main objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s fourth development plan include energy efficiency and conservation and also reducing environmental damage and degradation. The Ministry of Energy (MOE) has some plans and projects to reduce energy consumption. The project titled “Kish Recovery Boiler” is one of the most important projects of the MOE in the energy conservation field. In this project the necessary steam for water desalination, which is one of the water resources in the Mideast, will be produced by the heat lost from gas turbines. The reduction of greenhouse gases will be about 153,504.5 tons/yr CO2 equivalent.
