Title: Protect Resources, Humans and the Environment through Wood Construction
Holzbau Salzburg is a cooperation of fourteen companies that lead wooden house construction in Salzburg. The primary material is wood, which comes for the most part from the domestic mountains. The use of wood supports not only the national economy but also environmental development. In 2005 the cooperation used 26,229 m³ of wood for construction. The weight is about 13,639 tons; therefore 25,246 tons of harmful CO2 have been bonded in the growth of the trees. The use of wood protects resources, humans and the environment and enables conservation of nonrenewable materials.
