Title: Acalor Heat Pump – Half the Cost, Double the Comfort
People in central Europe spend 10% of their income for heating. Normal warm water floor heaters waste 10 times more energy than thermodynamically necessary. Pump, aspirator and expansion tank need periodic maintenance and can be damaged through temperatures below zero because of ice. In the Acalor heater, the principle of a freezer is used in reverse, through a radiator integrated in a floating floor. Instead of cooling energy, heat is produced. To produce 4 kWh of thermal heat, only 1kWh of electric energy is necessary, which means that half of the costs of a conventional gas-fueled warm water floor heater.
