Title: Mobility and quality of life
Various aspects such as too little exercise among students and the resulting damage to their health and the danger presented by the local highway B67, compelled the middle school in Feldkirchen (Styria, Austria) to make mobility the focus of a project. The primary goals were to reduce CO2 emissions due to traffic to and from school, to reduce traffic in general, and to ameliorate dangerous locations around the school and on the way to school. In addition to questionnaires for parents, the pupils were actively involved in reshaping the traffic situation and a bicycle and pedestrian map of the town was produced. In addition, consciousness was created concerning the enormous influence that soft mobility has on the environment and the body.
