Title: Hospital air conditioning plant with free cooling

This project involved the renovation of an existing air conditioning plant. The permanent air conditioning requirement for IT and OP required year-round operation of the air conditioning plant and thus its energy optimization. The old system also failed to meet the current Austrian standards. At the time of the installation of the ventilation system, air conditioning was considered to be an unnecessary luxury. The extended piping network drew air into the lines when they cooled, which put an additional load on the air conditioning system. The installation of a free cooling heat exchanger during renovation, the energy requirement for continuous operation was significantly reduced.
