Title: Solar center in Mecklenburg Vorpommern in the 100% Region Lübow-Krassow
The property complex Wietow (Germany) was completely upgraded to solar energy by the Association Solar Initiative in line with ordinances protecting historical monuments and was extended to become the Solar Center Wietow. All building materials are free of pollutants and ecologically safe. During construction, new products were developed, such as historically appropriate windows meeting the German passive house standard. The consistent utilization of energy-saving technology has enabled the 23 kW roof-mounted photovoltaic modules to produce more electric energy than is consumed. A closed waste water cycle with a micro-filter system complements the concept. The overall primary energy consumption was reduced from 505 to 30 kWh/m².
