Title: Energy-saving measures in our town
The town of Marz (Austria) has formulated an energy-saving concept under which the following measures have already been taken: raising energy-saving consciousness on the part of all citizens, upgrading of street lighting to energy-saving technology, stepwise installation of heavy-duty thermal insulation for all municipal buildings, installation of highly insulating windows in public buildings, no air conditioning in all public buildings, and the project Green Mile in the elementary school. Measures in planning include the consideration of a light management system to regulate street lighting and continuous information for the population about options for von energy-saving measures via consulting (e.g., regular dates for consulting in the town hall).
