Title: New gravitation water vortex power plant purifies water and generates eco-power

In a prototype plant in Obergrafendorf, in 2005 Zomo Wassertechnik constructed the first gravitation water vortex power plant. This completely novel hydro-electric plant is suited for small height differences because the turbine is driven by the water vortex ensuing from the design. In addition, oxygen is mixed into the water and improves water quality. The relatively low rotational speed of the turbine makes it safe for fish and makes the hydro-electric plant highly ecologically continuous. The efficiency of the turbine is 80% and, compared to a conventional micro-hydro-electric plant with the same output, has nearly half the investment costs. Potential sites for water vortex power plants worldwide include countless existing natural weirs in flowing waters, as well as outflows of water treatment plants and industrial sewers.
