Title: Single-family passive house near Salzburg

The goal of the project in Piesendorf (province of Salzburg) was to plan and implement a passive house with ecological construction and all its energy benefits. The project has the following features: simple cubature, orientation and opening to the south, wood framing with 24 cm insulation for outside walls, inside walls with Heraklith, solid wood elements for intermediate ceilings, 30-cm roof insulation elements, 3-way glazing with a mean thermal transition coefficient of 0.75 W/m²K, and utilization of modern HVAC technology (controlled room ventilation with heat recovery, 20 m² photovoltaic system, heat pumps).
