Title: St. Andrae bee and plant nature trail
Due to climate change, pupils of the middle school in St. Andrae are to acquire sustainable environmental consciousness. In the course of river and bank cleaning actions, the pupils discover how difficult this work is. Their attitude toward nature took a turn for the better. In cooperation with the municipality of St. Andrae, a 5.5-km bee and plant nature trail was established. The purpose of this nature trail is to inform visitors about the importance of honey bees for the ecosystem of the Lavant Valley and for the conservation of the typical cultural landscape of the valley as Carynthia’s fruit paradise; informative signs along the entire path fulfill this function.
