Title: Development & production of 30 kW Schaeffer mixed steam power plant
LESA power plants are garage-sized power plants (30 kW el.) that were developed for decentralized power generation. The heart of such a power plant is a specially developed steam engine that requires temperatures between 150 and 180°C for operation. This temperature is generated with biomass, solar energy or geothermal energy. An interesting aspect is that the usual cooling tower is not required. The steam engine uses mixed steam, which achieves a particularly high electrical efficiency of ca. 60%. This CO2-neutral power plant is designed for continuous operation and produces ca. 250,000 kWh of electricity annually. LESA views this technology for power generation as an important step toward energy autonomy.
