Title: Optimizagua: new approach to irrigation
The Optimizagua project, developed under the auspices of the EU Life Programme, showed the way to important water savings by combining innovative, traditional and methodological techniques and devices for irrigation tasks. Significant water savings were achieved in two public parks (60%), a private lawn (50%), and corn and wheat in the field (40%). The total water saved amounted to 22,000 m3 from four hectares. The descriptive full project title is “Demonstration of water savings in watering uses through experimentation with artificial intelligence models combined with traditional water control systems”. Part of the project output is a trilingual catalog (ES, EN, FR) intended to disseminate the results.
