Title: Green Teaching Environmental Awareness project in Lithuania
The project Green TEA (Green Teaching Environmental Awareness) was launched by the NGO Energy Saving Facilities to pursue environmental awareness and the rational use of energy. Concerns about greenhouse effect, global warming, pollution, and energy security have raised interest in the development of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, wave power and hydrogen. This led to the development of Lithuania’s Energy Saving Center, which targets the younger generation and teaches them to make conscious decisions about how to consume less. The center’s activities are supported by a weekly television broadcast. The project motto is: We really can save the environment with just one light bulb; the more people that take this step, the more we can change our world.
