Title: Conservation buffers along Iranian river
Zaiandehrud river is the main river in the central part of Iran. This river is polluted by farmlands, factories and urban areas, which affects the river flow degradation. The approach for solving this problem is to use a buffer system located between the sources of the pollution and the river. The goal of this study is to determine suitable zones for restoring conservation buffers at the Zaiandehrud riverside. In addition to the water quality improvement, there are several advantages such as flood control, landscaping and creation of wildlife habitats.
