Title: The singing garbage can
120 students from the 4th grade of the elementary school, the school choir of the middle school, and the youth wind orchestra of the city orchestra in Schladming (Austria) together with their teachers developed the Enns River Valley premiere of the musical "Tonna Müllodia", a charmingly humorous educational work about waste, waste separation and waste avoidance with music by Franz Cibulka and texts by Gerda Klimek. The pupils’ work was an interschool and intercurricular project from January to March 2007 and climaxed at the performance at the original venue, the recycling center in Schladming, before an audience of 600 children and adults. A further performance was arranged in the provincial capital of Graz.
