Title: UMI SOLAR DEVELOPMENT
The “UMI SOLAR DEVELOPMENT” is an outcome of a regional project currently being scaled-up in the Solomon Islands. The regional project - “Pacific Micro Energy Services Company project” (PMESCOs), with co-financing provided between SOPAC1 and REEEP2 was to establish and operate a micro energy service company in the remote communities of the Solomon Islands and Kiribati through the purchased, sales, training and installations of 35 LUTW3 solar PV LED lighting systems for each country. The UMI SOLAR DEVELOPMENT introduced the use of cash crops and promoted partnership for communities’ access to efficient, affordable and reliable lighting systems for the remote communities.
