Title: Utilizing the heat of biogas plants
In a biogas plant, bacteria generate methane gas and valuable fertilizer from biogenic waste and biogenic raw materials. This methane gas is a high-quality energy source that can be used for power or heating/cooling or as fuel. As with many other power generation technologies, originally the heat, created here as a byproduct of the methane gas, was hardly used. A heat utilization concept significantly supports the success of a biogas plant. For this reason ARGE Kompost & Biogas developed a corresponding guide that shows ways of utilizing the heat and provides computation tools to enable the user to conduct a rough estimate of feasibility before subcontracting to a planning office. The guide helps to realize ideas and to save energy, costs and emissions.
