Title: Preservation of alluvial forest habitats in the Morávka river basin
The main goal of the project is the suppression of invasive Reynoutria in Morávka river basin to ensure recuperation of biodiversity in this valuable area where several both national and European protected areas meet, among other pSCi, BPA and Protected Landscape Area of Beskydy, especially protected area of Skalická Morávka, and other. Several partners have been cooperating with the project leader Regional Authority of Moravian-Silesian Region in this four year project, such as Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection (state administration body), CSOP Salamandr (NGO), Forest of the CR and Oder River Basin Management (both state enterprises) and Pilsner Urquell brewery (private company). This above-standard co-operation has been supported by local municipalities, schools and public, which are strongly interested in reaching the project objectives. Public relation activities have contributed to distribute information and awareness of the importance of invasive species suppression and protection of nature by that.
