Title: Hamburg Climate Contest 2008: from rethinking to redoing
The Hamburg Climate Contest 2008 is a climate protection project aiming to inform households in Hamburg, Germany, about energy saving and climate protection and to motivate active participation. The main components of the contest were information events, information stands, Internet platform, questionnaires, flyers and posters, press work, radio and television, contests with monthly winners along with special prizes, and a book with energy saving tips. The contest resulted in winning households with a CO2 balance of only 1 to 3 tons instead of the average 10.6 tons per person.
