Title: Life Cycle Tower
The primary goal of this project is to develop a market-ready, flexible wooden prefabricated modular system for building energy-efficient high-rise buildings of up to 20 floors. Specific building and façade technolgies help to make the building an energy producer instead of a consumer and so contribute to CO2 neutrality. The project seeks to utilize the potential that high-rises afford in terms of energy generation and storage while reducing dependence on conventional building materials and energy sources; this is achieved by moving from steel-reinforced concrete to wood frame construction. The project by the Rhomberg construction company is in the evaluation phase.
